Kuvassa oli kuivaa pakkaslunta, joka pöllysi tuulen mukana helposti. Tällainen kerros oli muodostunut edellisen päivän heikoista lumisateista vanhan tiivistyneen lumikerroksen päälle. Kuvassa nähdään, kuinka tuuli oli liikuttanut lunta laskoksittain. Tilanteessa vallitsi kylmä itätuuli, jossa pakkasta oli lauhimmillaankin -6,2 astetta iltapäivällä. In the photo there was dry frosty snow, that whirled up easily with the wind. This kind of layer had been formed due to weak snowing of the previous day on the top of the old layer of compressed snow. In the picture we see, how the wind had been moved the snow in folds. In the situation there prevailed cold easterly winds, where the temperature was -6,2 C even at the highest. The sun was shining weakly through the nimbostratus clouds (resembled stratus clouds) at the time of the photoshoot. The photo is taken in the district of Tapiola in Espoo.
