Säätilanne: valitse Base Time 12.4.2006. Wetter3 A. Wetter3 B.

After dried up for a while the lawn exposed under the snow looks many times brown like this. However the new growth starts as soon as the soil frost have been melted completely and the temperature just on the surface of the ground have topped +5 C; like that will typically happen in southern Finland at the end of april before The First of May (a celebration day called Vappu in finnish). In this picture we see also, how the long straws of the lawn had been pressed down into tight layer under the snow. A spring treatment on the lawns of Finland includes therefore a so called opening of these spots with a rake, so that the new growth can come up better. During winter too long straws of lawns can gather mould diseases under the snow. Weather condition: choose Base Time 12.4.2006. Wetter3 A. Wetter3 B.
