Edelliseen kuvaan verrattuna tilanne oli tässä muutoin sama, mutta tässä yllä olevasta lehtipuusta tippunut sulamisvesi kuvioi katukäytävää eikä sen vieressä ollutta lumikasaa. Pinnan sävy näytti tummemmalta kuin edellisessä kuvassa, koska ko. pinta sisälsi enemmän sulanutta vettä ja alla ollut tumma maa (asfaltti tässä tapauksessa) kuulsi paremmin ohuen lumen ja jään läpi. As compared to the previous picture here the situation was otherwise the same, but here the dropping melting water from the broadleaf tree above figured the street path and not the pile of snow beside it. The tone of colour looked darker than in the previous picture, because this surface contained more melting water and the ground (asphalt in this case) underneath glowed better through the thin layer of snow and ice.
