Kevättä enteillen ennen lumien ja jään lopullista sulamista vähäliikenteisten käytävien talvella kertynyttä jäätä ja tiivistynyttä lunta (joita auraaminen ei ole poistanut) poistetaan viimeistään maaliskuun aikana jyrsimällä. Tässä kuvassa nähdään ko. jyrsimisen jälkiä säilyneinä poikkeuksellisen siistinä. Kukaan ei vielä ollut kävellyt kohdan päällä ja tällä varjoisalla paikalla aurinko ei ollut vielä sulattanut kuvioita. Pinnan alla oli asfalttia, mutta siitä nähtiin kuvassa vain muutama tumma viiva. Yhden lumiraidan leveys oli n. 2cm. Ko. päivänä lämpötila kävi ylimmillään +1,3 asteessa, mutta aurinkoa himmensivät taivaalla olleet untuva-, harso- ja verhopilvet. Kuva on otettu Espoon Tapiolassa. Foreseeing the spring before the ultimate melting of the snow and ice on quiet paths the winter's accumulated ice and compressed snow (which aren't removed by plowing) are removed at the latest during March by milling. In this picture we see the tracks of that milling remained unusually tidy. Nobody hadn't been walked yet over the spot and on this shadowy place the shapes hadn't been melted yet by the sun. There were asphalt under the surface, but only small lines of that were visible in the picture. The width of one snowstripe was about 2cm. During this day the temperature was +1,3 C at the highest, but the sun was blurred by cirrus, cirrostratus and altostratus clouds in the sky. The picture is taken in the district of Tapiola in Espoo.
