Aurinkoisilta paikoilta lumi, jää ja routakin olivat siis jo sulaneet, mutta esim. nurmikoiden kasvu ei vielä ollut alkanut etelärinteitä ja -luiskia lukuun ottamatta. Tasaisilla paikoilla tähän oli tässä vaiheessa kuitenkin poikkeus. Kuvassa nähdään siitä esimerkki, missä ko. nurmikko oli alkanut kasvamaan vihreinä juovina muutoin ruskeassa ympäristössä. Tämän aiheutti ko. kohdilla oleva maanalainen infrastruktuuri, kuten kaukolämpöputket. Putkien vapauttama lämpö siirtyi maaperään ja sen takia lumikin suli näiltä kohdilta ennenaikaisesti. Urbaanissa ympäristössä tällaista voidaan pitää tahattomana maisema-arkkitehtuurina / puutarhataiteena. Kuvassa olevat kanadanhanhet (Branta canadensis) löysivät nämä nurmikon kohdat, sillä tuore ruoho on niiden ravintoa. Espoon Tapiolassa näitä lintuja esiintyy hyvin runsaasti alueella olevien laajojen nurmikenttien vuoksi. Tämä kuva päättää kuuden kuvan sarjan, joka oli kuvattu ko. päivänä Espoon Tapiolassa. So, on sunny places the snow, ice and also soil frost had been melted allready, but for example growing of the grass hadn't yet been started not counted for southern slopes and ramps. On even surfaces there was an exception to this at this stage. In the picture we see an example of that, where that lawn had been started to grow in green trails among the otherwise brown environment. This was resulted by the infrastructure on these spots under the ground, like pipes of the district heating. The heat released by the pipes passed to the ground and therefore also the snow melted prematurely away from these spots. In an urban environment this kind of thing can be considered like an unintended landscape architecture / garden art. The Canada Gooses (Branta canadensis) in the picture found these spots of lawns, because fresh grass is the nutrition to them. In the district of Tapiola in Espoo these birds are appearing very plentyfully due to the large areas of lawns in the district.
