Kuvat on otettu Espoon Tapiolassa illalla vähän ennen klo. kahdeksaa, joten päivän valoa nähdään riittäneen jo näin myöhään. Tässä kuvassa hiekkaisella puistokäytävällä vesi velloi edelleen runsaana vielä osaksi jäässä olleen pohjan takia. Tällaiset tummat pinnat (kts. albedo) kestivät sulaa tällä kertaa melko kauan, koska säät olivat pitkään hyvin pilvisiä. Vesi etsiytyi edelleen hauskasti myös lumivallien läpi alavammille tasoille syöden kanjoneita lumeen ja jäähän kuvan tapaan. Säätilanne: valitse Base Time 9.4.2006. Wetter3 A. Wetter3 B.

In the westernside of Finland there was a low pressure, which circulated temporarily warmer air from the south. This day was the warmest of the spring so far as just before the precipitation area of the afternoon and evening the maximum temperature was +7,1 C. The rain was showery and therefore it didn't rain much in every area around Helsinki (like in the district of Puistola). However the snow was melting now rather fast and melting waters formed plentyfully. The three picture series above shows visual experiences as formed by these waters. There were only about 10cm of snow left and locally it was completely snowfree. The pictures are taken in the district of Tapiola in Espoo just before 8 pm, so we see the light of the day remained even this late allready. In this picture on the sandy path of a park the water heaved further plentyfully due to a ground yet partly frozen. These kinds of dark surfaces (check albedo) took long time to melt this time around, because the weather was very cloudy for a long time. The water traced funnily further more paths also through snow embankments to lower levels as eroding canyons into the snow and ice like in the picture. Weather condition: choose Base Time 9.4.2006. Wetter3 A. Wetter3 B.
