Tämä kolmen kuvan sarja on otettu Espoon Tapiolassa samalla nurmikolla. Kuvien tilanteessa vallitsi edelleen lähes selkeä ja lämmin sää; päivän ylin lämpötila oli alueella +15,4 astetta, mutta merituuli oli viilentänyt ko. lukemaa Etelä-Suomen sisämaan lähes +20 asteen lukemista. Tässä kuvasarjassa nähdään ko. nurmikon pinnalla ollutta sammalta ja sen tämän vaiheen tilannetta. Itse nurmikon kasvu ei ollut vielä juuri ollenkaan alkanut, mutta tuo kirkas punaruskea sävy kuivien korsien seassa johtui ko. sammaleen hyvin runsaina ilmestyneistä itiöpesistä. Ylemmät kuvat näyttävät ko. pesiä lähempää. Tämä kirkas sävy näkyi parhaiten juuri auringon valoa vasten. Myötävaloon katsottuna ko. kohdat näyttivät tumman ruskeilta. This three picture series is taken in the district of Tapiola in Espoo on the same lawn. In the situation of these photos an allmost clear and warm weather continued further more; the maximum temperature of the day in the area was +15,4 C, but the sea breeze had been cooled it down from allmost +20 C readings of the inland areas of southern Finland. In this picture series we see a moss on the surface of that lawn and the condition of it at this stage. The actual new growth of the lawn hadn't been started allmost at all yet, but that bright reddish brown tone among the dry straws resulted from the very densely appeared spore capsules of that moss. The upper photos are showing these capsules more closely. This bright colour tone was showing the best just against the sunlight. When looked along the light these spots looked dark brown.
