Kuvan tilanteessa säätä viilentänyt rintamasysteemi oli ylittänyt kuvauspaikan Helsingin Kallion edellisenä yönä ja ko. päivänä ylin lämpötila oli vain +19,7 astetta. Samassa yhteydessä yöllä satoi kohtalaisesti, mutta melko paikallisesti. Tälläkin paikalla silti satoi ja kuvassa nähtävät hopeapoppelin (Populus alba) siemenet norkkoineen vettyivät ja ne liikkuivat vähän veden mukana. Kuivuttuaan ne olivat nyt kuin liimattuna tuohon asfalttiin, mutta tästä eteenpäin ne alkoivat murenemaan helposti ja pian ne olivat kadonneet tuulten mukaan ja liikenteen takia. In the situation of the picture a weather cooling frontal system had been crossed the photoshooting scene the district of Kallio in Helsinki during the last night and in the day in question the maximum temperature was only +19,7 C. At the same time it rained moderately at night, but rather locally. It rained also in this place though and the seeds and catkins of White Poplar (Populus alba) we see in the picture were wetted and they moved a bit with the water. As they dried up they were now like glued onto that asphalt, but from now on they started to crumble easily and soon they were vanished with winds and due to the traffic.
