Yllä oleva kolmen kuvan sarja on kuvattu samana päivänä Kaisaniemen kasvitieteellisessä puutarhassa Helsingissä. Kuvat on laitettu järjestykseen taiteellisten seikkojen mukaan, mutta kuvauksen aikaskaala pitää paikkansa. Tässä vaiheessa Etelä-Suomen ylle oli saapunut vaihteleva rintamasysteemi ja sää oli edellisiä päiviä pilvisempää. Tälle paikalle ei kuitenkaan tullut sateita ko. päivänä ja tavanomaista selvästi lämpimämpi sää jatkui; päivän ylin lämpötila oli +26,6 astetta. Pilvien ja voimistuneen lounaistuulen myötä yökin oli nyt melko lämmin; alin lukema oli +16,8 astetta. Tämän myötä kasvukausi eteni edelleen nopeasti (jo reilun viikon edellä normaalia), mutta paikoitellen kuivuus alkoi haittaamaan kasvien kehitystä tukahduttamalla kasvua hitaammaksi. Tässä kuvassa nähdään punatammen (Quercus rubra) varisseita hedenorkkoja hiekkakäytävällä. Ne olivat varisseet jo kesäkuun alussa, kuten Etelä-Suomessa yleisen tammen (Quercus robur) hedenorkotkin, mutta ne säilyivät kuivuttuaan melko hyvin ehjinä ja mädäntymättä näin pitkään. The picture series of three photos above is photographed in the same day in the botanical garden of Kaisaniemi in Helsinki. The pictures are placed in order according to artistic matters, but the time scale of the photoshoot holds true. At this stage there had been arrived a variable frontal system over southern Finland and the weather was more cloudy than during the previous days. However there didn't come rain in this place during the day and the warmer than the average weather continued; the maximum temperature of the day was +26,6 C. Due to the clouds and strengthened winds the night was now rather warm as well; the minimum reading was +16,8 C. Thanks to this the growing season progressed further in a fast pace (was now a little over one week ahead of normal), but locally the drought started to harm the evolving of the plants as suffocating the growing into slower pace. In this picture we see shed male catkins of Northern Red Oak (Quercus rubra) on a sandy path. They had been shed allready in early june like also the male catkins of Common Oak / English Oak (Quercus robur) common in southern Finland, but they remained rather well entact and without rotting so long as they dried up.
