Suomen länsipuolella kehittynyt korkeapaine alkoi vaikuttaa koko Suomen säähän yhä enemmän tässä vaiheessa. Tuulet tyyntyivät ja sää jatkui vain vähän kumpupilvisenä; kuvassa aurinko oli ko. pilvilajin takana. Lämpötilat olivat Etelä-Suomessa monin paikoin yli +25 astetta päivällä, mutta tyyntyneen tuulen vuoksi selkeässä yössä lämpötilat olivat vähän alle +10 astetta alimmillaan. Lämmenneiden vesistöjen ääressä oli paikoin lämpimämpää. Päättyvä kesäkuu oli etenkin etelärannikolla hyvin kuiva sademäärän jäätyä esim. kuvausalueella Espoon Tapiolassa vain vähän yli 20 millimetriin koko kuussa. Tämä tiesi lähes koko ajan pahenevaa kuivuutta ja se näkyi ensimmäisenä nurmikoilla. Tämä kuvan nurmikko on sen verran kostealla ja savisella alueella, että kuivuus ei vielä vaivannut. Hiekkaisilla ja aurinkoisilla paikoilla nurmikot olivat jo suurimmaksi osaksi ruskeita ja niiden leikkuutarve oli päättynyt jopa n. kaksi viikkoa sitten. Tätä nurmikkoa oli leikattu vielä pari päivää sitten ja leikkuun jälkeen jäivät nuo korsijäteraidat. Omalla tavallaan nekin ovat esteettisiä ja tällä nurmikolla niiden poistamista ei tehdä, koska ko. alue ei ole hoitoluokaltaan korkea. Säätilanne: valitse Base Time 30.6.2006. Wetter3 A. Wetter3 B.

The high pressure evolved in the western side of Finland started to affect whole Finland ever more at this stage. Winds calmed down and the weather continued only little cumulus cloudy; in the picture the sun was behind this cloud type. The temperatures were over +25 C in many places in southern Finland during afternoon, but due to the calmed down winds the temperatures were a bit under +10 C at lowest in the clear night. Beside warmed up water areas there were locally warmer. The ending June was very dry especially by the southern coast as the amount of precipitation stayed for example in the photoshooting scene in the district of Tapiola in Espoo only little over 20 millimetres in the whole month. This meant worsening drought almost all the time and that showed up firstly on lawns. This lawn in the picture is in such a moist and clay filled area, that the drought didn't cause harm yet. On sandy and sunny places lawns were allready mostly brown and the need of mowing them had been ended even about two weeks ago. This lawn had yet been mowed couple of days ago and after the mowing there remained those straw waste stripes. They are also esthetic in their own way and on this lawn they aren't moved away as the classification of maintenance in this area isn't high. Weather condition: choose Base Time 30.6.2006. Wetter3 A.
