Tämäkin kuva on otettu Meilahden arboretumissa Helsingissä ja se päättää ko. päivän neljän kuvan sarjan. Kuvien aikajärjestystä on muutettu taiteellisten seikkojen vuoksi, mutta aikaskaala pitää paikkansa; kaksi alinta on kuvattu aamulla ja kaksi ylintä alkuillalla. Kuvassa nähdään japaninjalopähkinän (Juglans ailanthifolia) varisseita hedenorkkoja hiekkakäytävällä. Ko. norkot ovat isoja; pituus on n. 15 - 20cm. Tämän lajin hedenorkkoja esittelin jo kuun 21. päivän kuvassa, mutta tässä niiden variseminen oli edelleen jatkunut. Kohdalla on isoja ko. lajin puita, joten varisemista riitti melko pitkäksi ajaksi. Niinpä nuo norkot olivat hyvin eriasteisesti kuivuneet riippuen varisemisen ajankohdasta viimeisen reilun viikon aikana. Tässäkin vaaleat kohdat olivat sironnutta auringonvaloa, kuten alemmassa kuvassa. Tätä laskeumaa sen sijaan on paljon harvinaisemmin Etelä-Suomessa kuin alemman kuvan mongolianvaahteran kukkalaskeumaa istutettujen jalopähkinöiden vähäisen määrän vuoksi. This picture is also taken in the arboretum of Meilahti distric in Helsinki and it ends the four picture series of this day. The time order of the pictures is altered due to artistic matters, but the time scale holds true; the lowest two are photographed in the morning and the upmost two in the early evening. In the picture we see shed male catkins of Japanese Walnut (Juglans ailanthifolia) on a sandy pavement. The catkins in question are big; the length is about 15 to 20 centimetres. I showed male catkins of this species allready in the picture of the 21st day of the month, but in here the shedding of them had been continued further. There are big trees of this species in the spot and so there was enough shedding for a rather long period of time. Therefore those catkins were dried up in very various degrees according to the time of the shedding during the good last week. In here also the light spots were the scattered sunlight as in the lower photo. As opposed to that this fallout appears much rarely in southern Finland than the flower fallout of Amur Maple in the lower picture due to a minor amount of Walnuts planted.
