Atlantille ulottuneen hyvin laajan matalapaineen osakeskus liikkui ko. päivän aikana Etelä-Suomen yli koilliseen. Matalapaine toi kuvauspaikalle Espoon Tapiolaan pääasiassa vesisadetta etelätuulten mukana (ylin lämpötila oli +2,5 astetta), mutta matalapaineen jälkipuolella tuulet kääntyivät luoteeseen ja seuraavaksi yöksi ja päiväksi lämpötila painui vähän pakkasen puolelle -1,9 asteeseen asti. Yllä on kuuden kuvan sarja, joka on kuvattu em. paikassa juuri ennen ilman pakastumista sadealueen jälkeen. Lunta oli jäljellä tässä vaiheessa n. 20cm, mutta suojasää oli sulattanut lunta ja jäätä tasaisesti jo muutaman päivän ajan. Tässä kuvassa nähdään loivasti viettävällä nurmikolla lumipeitteessä aukko, joka oli syntynyt virtaavan sulamisveden takia; vesi syövytti aukon lumeen sen alta käsin. Aukossa nähdään nurmikon päällä myös rauduskoivun (Betula pendula) lehtiä edelliseltä syksyltä. Säätilanne: valitse 1.4.2006; Wetter3 A. Wetter3 B.

A subcenter of a very wide low pressure reaching Atlantic moved over southern Finland to the northeast during this day. The low pressure brought to the photoshooting scene in the district of Tapiola in Espoo mostly rain (not sleet or snow) with southerly winds, but after the low pressure the winds turned to the northwest and for the next night and day the temperature turned slightly into freezing digits down to -1,9 C. Above there's a six photo series, which is photographed in the mentioned place just before the air got freezing after the precipitation area. There were snow left for about 20cm at this stage, but thaw weather had been melted snow and ice evenly for about few days allready. In this picture we see on the gently sloping lawn a hole in the snowcover, which had been formed due to a flowing melting water; the water eroded the hole from underside of the snow. In the hole we see also leaves of the silver birch (Betula pendula) from the last autumn. Weather condition: choose 1.4.2006; Wetter3 A. Wetter3 B.
