Iltapäivällä ko. päivänä sulamisvettä oli jälleen liikkeellä melko paljon ja tässä kuvassa on jälleen yksi esimerkki sulamisen jälkeensä jättämästä vaahdosta veden pinnalla. Tässä veden alla oli kuitenkin runsaammin jäätä kuin alemmissa vastaavissa kuvissa. Edellisen yön pakkanen oli jäädyttänyt jäljellä olevaa hyvin märkää suojalunta vain vähän pinnalta ohueksi kovaksi kuoreksi, joten tänä keväänä ei nytkään syntynyt kunnolla kantavaa hankea aamuksi. Muutoin se on tyypillinen ilmiö Suomen alkukeväässä lämpötilan vaihdellessa normaalisti yöstä päivään suuresti nollan molemmin puolin lumipeitteen ollessa vielä kunnollinen. In the afternoon during this day there were melting water around rather profusely again and in this picture there is again an example of the foam on the water's surface as leaved behind by the melting. However in here underneath the water there was more ice than in the similar pictures lower. The frost of the night before had been frozen very wet thaw snow only little on the surface to form thin hard layer, so therefore even now in this spring there hadn't been formed properly bearing surface of the snow for the morning. Otherwise that is a typical phenomenon of the early spring in Finland as the temperature normally changes widely around zero from night to noon, when there's yet a proper snowcover around.
